Therapy

As a clinical psychologist, therapy has been a core part of my professional life for over two decades, and continues to influence everything I do – from supervision and training to consultancy, writing, and leadership coaching.

My clinical work has been grounded in Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), with a particular focus on supporting people experiencing trauma reactions, shame, psychosis, and other forms of distress that are often misunderstood or marginalised. That experience continues to inform my work with individuals, teams, and organisations, as well as my ongoing involvement in service development and clinical supervision.

Having started my career as an NHS psychologist, I co-founded Balanced Minds in 2012 with Dr Chris Irons and Dr Korina Ioannou (see our 2020 video →). We were three clinical psychologists who came together with a shared interest in bringing compassion-focused approaches to therapy, training, and well-being. What began as a small collaboration has since grown into a thriving team of over 28 clinicians, including Clinical and Counselling Psychologists and Psychotherapists.

Today, I remain actively involved in Balanced Minds as both a Director and Clinical Supervisor, supporting the continued development of a service we’re proud to say is now the largest specialist provider of Compassion Focused Therapy in the world.

The Balanced Minds team offers therapy sessions both online and in-person from our consulting rooms in central London. All our therapists are trained in CFT, as well as bringing experience across a range of other evidence-based modalities, including CBT, CAT, EMDR, ACT etc. The team all receive supervision from CFT experts.

If you are looking for therapy or support grounded in compassion, clinical integrity, and psychological depth, I warmly recommend exploring what Balanced Minds has to offer. Visit balancedminds.com.
